Yassie (2013)
See how a lovable dog called Yassie gets what she really wants. Clever? Or just plain cute?
Yassie a short film was screened to the public for the first time at the 2nd Australian Deaf Short Film Festival on Australia Day, Janurary 26th, 2013. The film has won not one but two awards. One was for the Best Director and one for the Best Film.
The film runs for approx 2 and half minutes and it is a fun and light-hearted film about a dog who tries to get her owner's attention to get what she wants.
The plan for Yassie is to make many short series on YouTube.
Congratulations to other winners on that night, too!
Best Youth Film tonight : " Books are Great " by Victorian College of the Deaf.
Best International Film "Little World" BY Becky Bailey United Kingdom.
Best Actor Phillipa Russell "Here in Silence"
Well done to the team of ADSFF for such a fantastic event! Waving hands to those people as well as to the judges. Thank you.

Trivia
The idea of a series of dog short films was original thought back in middle of 2000 when I had a dog called Pippa, a Pomerian bred dog I've had when I was a teen. I made the intro clip but never made the film. Films like this are very much inspired by a 1976's film, Benji.
